S20 waitlisted (pre-communication). Accepted at UCD, SDSU Honors, Cal Poly, UCSC so far. He didn’t apply to UCSD.
GPA UW 3.8ish, W 4.2-3ish, SAT 1390. In state. Lots of activities, 3 varsity sports, started a club, worked a lot, and took 7 APs. I think his essays were very authentic and readable. He did not mention any adversity (went back and forth on whether to discuss his ADHD/dyslexia, but decided against it).
@SDMOM48 the UCs don’t look for checked boxes for diversity. They are not affirmative action schools.
