In my bus cal 2 we did Multi-Var calc with Lagrange multipliers, double integral( rectangular and general regions), max and mins of 2 variables, 1st order linear differential equations (like terms and factor integrand,) logistic growth, statistics without graphing calculator using improper integrals, and other stuff I forgot about at the moment. Business calc 1 pretty much prepares you for this, or at least at my CC.
@uchopeful414
I don’t think all bus calc classes are similar, I’ve seen a bus calc one class cover the min at another CC and only taught derivatives of polynomial function. Didn’t go further, and didn’t have related rates whereas my bus calc class did.
TLDR: not all bus calc classes are the same.
Just do business calculus, it’s essentially just a watered down version of differential calculus with some applications. Hardest thing you will learn is Chain Rule, which is a baby concept in calculus. The algebraic manipulation is pretty tame in differential calculus, mainly just conceptual stuff.
@wtcantfw imo applying the quotient rule with more than one derivative is the hardest. Mostly because of the massive amount of places in which you can make a small mistake that messes it all up.
I do like watered down baby concepts…
Still pending on the decision but just checked for the hell of it and clicked on “Check my financial aid status.” It took me to prospective student and said “No Financial Aid information is available at this time.” I think before it use to say that they received fasfa on such and such date. Is that an indicater that I got denied?
@BlackPlasma UCSB probably just hasn’t finished working on your aid package. Stay hopeful. Transfer financial aid packages should be available this week, so maybe they’re revising it and all
I GOT IN!!! Pre-econ accounting yesshhhh
@itakenotes
What is your major and gpa?
Would you mind telling us what your GPA was and if you finished all yours pre reqs?
@worldchanger GPA 3.92 when applied 3.88 after the TAU update. I just finished all my major prerequisite this winter quarter.
Do I need to notify UCSB that I updated my FAFSA yesterday?
Is there any way we can change our choice of housing at this point???
On the FASFA I chose off campus and i wanted to change to on campus ?
Does anyone know???
@med97student They got notified right after you submit it, thats if you listed SB in the school section.
@busiibeee Yes you can. Just go make a correction to your FAFSA and resubmit it.
@busiibeee Does it tell you what housing plan they gave you?
can anyone link the UC Irvine transfer thread?!
I CAN’T FIND IT ANYWHERE OMG
