What will happen if i hit the 200 unit cap?
Would i get an extension?
Anyone have any experience in this matter?
Please and Thank You.
And yes I will call the department of course.
How long did it take to get the financial aid package?
@zerglingdude you should ask a UCSB counselor questions about your specific situation and the possibility of reaching the 200 unit cap, they would be able to help you a lot more than we would because they know the requirements of the math major, how transfers usually do, etc.
@wtb2525 I got it about a week after my acceptance but I was admitted on the first day. I think it usually takes a couple of days
I got admitted the first day but have still not received my financial aid package. All it says is “your FAFSA was received by the Federal Processor on 1/14/16”. Should I be concerned?
@halosfan4ever I’m in the same boat! Accepted the second day but have a similar message as yours in my financial aid section. I will wait a few more days before I call the school.
^ I was accepted to 3 schools (not UCSB) and haven’t received any aid packages yet. I called one of my schools but all they said was that I will receive the package within this month.
I need help! the last day to update grades on TAU was yesterday and my school goes by quarter system so I just got my grades this morning. The problem is my math pre req was a part of those grades and I got a B but I can’t update that to TAU anymore. I don’t want this math pre req to affect my chances of getting in. Is there anything I can do to show them that I did finish my math pre req and passed?!
Does anyone know how to register for Spring Insight next weekend?
Never mind. I found it in three seconds, lmao.
just received my packet today
wow I really envy you guys who already received your acceptance while mine is still pending here -_-
@resonanx Same here.
@BlackPlasma do you tag? I tagged but still pending
@resonanx
No. lol
woo-hoo! received my packet
hate to say this, but I’m a tad disappointed with the acceptance package lol
does anyone have updates/info regarding the FB group UCSB was going to create for recent admits?
I received my packet today too! Definitely made it all feel more real. @UCMtoUCSBHopeful I haven’t heard anything about the group yet either. I tried looking but that was about a week or so ago so maybe there’s something up now…or they’re waiting to post more decisions before making a page?
The packet wasn’t anything special; however, we are all people who are in the loop and have been in the loop about everything for months. I imagine that the information on the back of the poster would have been more enlightening to recipients who have never been on this forum. The one take away for me was the online stream for transfers in May. For those of us who are unable or far too busy to show up to the campus for those kinds of events, it is nice that they offer an alternative.
The Facebook group will probably come in May. I’ll never know because I don’t have one. But I imagine they are waiting until the admission season is over and everything is finalized.
@CATransfer2016 Yeah, they’re probably waiting to make a group once all/most decisions come out. And I agree! My acceptance didn’t seem realistic until I tore that big envelope apart haha
@TheVisionary you couldn’t have said it better. I want to attend Spring Insight but I’d rather just go to one of the May transfer days in person. I would love to learn about what resources UCSB offers specifically for transfer students
Can I drop a class while I got accepted? Will it affect my admission? Calculus is so hard!!!
