UCSB Fall 2016 Transfer Thread

@akfieldhockey @nothingpersnal just a heads up it took a week before my financial aid was available, some people got theirs a lot faster than that so maybe it has something to do with the amount of aid/ grant money they want to give you. I ended up getting a lot so if that’s any indicator it may be the reason yours hasn’t updated yet.

im still pending…

Thats it, im tired on constantly logging in to only see “still pending”. From now on im only going to log in on Fridays.

So random question here. Usually people contact admissions to let them know they are dropping a class, getting a bad grade, or changed their class. I just had a course conclude as it was an 8 week course. The website says to report any change in WIP, so technically it is a change. Kinda hoping it sneakily forces them to take a look at my app since i’m still pending. :))
Do I email to report the A?

@Cheolf thanks!! pug haters don’t exist in my world

I got admission but I got 1 w from my reqirement and 1 f in from nonmajor class will they revoke my admission?

my major is mathematics

@errorthirtyseven I completed 17 Units last semester and 15 units by May of this year = 32 semester units, I completed 10 AP tests, and even though it comes out to 31 units according to my CC for IGETC, the actual point value given by UC is 45… It’s weird but that’s what my UC planner said when I tagged to UCI so therefore I have a total of 77 semester units

@BlackPlasma I can believe that for a CSU school but not a UC, I mean I got into UCR and they are ranked lower ?

@kevinl1997 yeah but if I think you need 30 units from non ap courses (so from completed at the college you are currently going to) completed and then you can apply and then you need 30 more non ap units by the end of the spring semester. I could be wrong though, like I said if you call UCSB admissions, they’ll tell you why you did not get in.

finally accepted!

major: pre-comm
gpa: 3.9 after fall 2015
tag: no
prerecs: only 1 completed (other 3 not offered at CCs in my area)
financial aid: none shown, but I highly doubt I’m getting anything

I just received an email from UCSB (somewhat generic, from the philosophy undergraduate adviser), explaining a bit about the program. Did any other philosophy majors get this, or did anybody in general receive a similar email pertaining to their major?

I wonder why they haven’t released my decision yet although I tagged…

Still pending and I tagged as well

Looking at last years, there were people who tagged who found out Iike three weeks later so I guess it isn’t unusual

@goldencub I got the same exact email.

Just wondering for those who got in- did you get an email or was it just on your portal when you were accepted

@hannahrenae portal
