I wanted to give future transfer students or students still pending hope! I wrote 2 amazing essays and I’ve had a lot of difficulties in my life in general and I guess they wanted to give me chance. So thankful for this, congratulations to everyone else who got accepted!

Question for people who have been admitted and might go to early start.
I was admitted this week so I do not know when my financial aid will be available. I am thinking of starting in summer so that I can knock out stats for econ and focus all my time of econ 10a in the fall. For summer aid it does not tell me info on where to apply for summer quarter and financial aid. What do I have to do to get financial aid for summer and what else do I have to do so that I can enroll for the summer?
Anyone know where we can see our new Student I.D’s?
Currently filling out the IGETC Certification for my community college and its asking for my student ID at the new school or wherever I am transferring to. I already SIR to UCSB.

ECs: very few… volunteering hours here and there.
Essays: ~7.5
Admitted: UCSD, UCSB, UCI
Rejected: Cal Poly SLO, UCD
Waitlisted: UCLA
Pending: UCB (I’m 99% sure I won’t get in)
I was worried I wasn’t gonna get in considering how long it took for me to get my decision.
Tips to future engineering transfers: From what I’ve seen from stalking these forums and talking to admissions officers, UCSB is mostly concerned about completing pre-reqs and GPA. They personally told me that they don’t put very much emphasis on extra-curriculars and there have been reports (on previous posts) that they don’t read essays at all.

Didn’t think I was getting in considering my GPA… It does balance out a bit with my EC’s but still, the applicant pool looked competitive this year. The wait was sooooo long, but very worth it in the end! I will be sending in my SIR tonight. Congrats to everyone else, go gauchos!!!
Guys if we are thinking about summer early start and want financial aid, do we have to go back to our 2015-2016 fafsa to put down the UCSB school code?
