You’ll see that last year the admit GPA range for CS was 3.76-3.95. Your GPA was good but I would say maybe that was still around the borderline for CS. Also students from CCC have higher priority.

I’m still in shock tbh, as UCSB is one of my top choices and ME has around a 10% acceptance rate. UCSB also has probably the best college town experience the UCs have to offer, so I can’t wait to attend in the fall.

UCSB was my top choice, so depending on where else I hear back, I may just wait another year and TAG.
I TAGd to UCD, but it was denied bc I was enrolled in an online math course at a state university at the time of my TAG

ACCEPTED!! I was accepted last week so I guess I’m a little late to posting this lol. UCSB was one of my top choices so I’m super excited, but I’m torn between UCSB and UCSC

EC: treasurer of my club, community service, honors program, and I also listed my work experience over the past few months
Personal Statements: honestly I could’ve done a lot better. I did my statements very last minute, but from my knowledge after talking to an admissions rep from UCSC the UCs that really take your personal statements into account if you’re a transfer are UCLA and UC Berkeley. UNLESS you’re on the border with a very low GPA, then they start to really look into your personal statements and use them as a deciding factor.

@calmrod11235 I applied as Computer Science and I’m still pending. No one else I know who applied as CS got a decision yet either, but I know someone else who applied as Electrical Engineering who got in during the first wave of admissions.

Got in about a week or two ago, but I wanted to post in case anyone else is stressing about their status and wanted some comparable stats to look at. Can’t wait for Berkeley and UCLA letters hopefully I get into one of them. I’m pretty torn between UCSD and UCSB if it came down to me making a decision, so hopefully, it doesn’t come down to it
I’ll post any of the other notices I get if I get them early for my computer science people who applied to similar schools. Good luck everyone!
