@Shagunbali Hi! I was wondering, do you know if I have to finish all my prerequisites for UCLA? I applied as an anthro major for an alt. major since I am in the honors program and I can TAP.
I am in progress of completing 3/4 prerequisites I am going to miss one and my GPA isn’t competitive either so I’m already assuming I’m going to be rejected. Although I am aiming for UCI as my first choice, it would feel great to be accepted at UCLA too (:
Apparently they’re not done reviewing applications! I asked the admissions office and that’s what one of the women said!
@Catsandphysics that makes sense. They probably got more transfer applicants this year so it is taking a little longer than usual
Patience! Fall 2017 had everyone finding out by April 24th: acceptances were received on that date.
I went and added another TAU update since I’m being notified of acceptance to some philosophy summer programs.
I hope this doesn’t delay my app being read. D:
What I don’t understand is why does the UCSB website say the next batch won’t be released until around April 2nd (it says that it is a tentative date and may change) but the portal still says decisions will come out every weekday after March 20th. Can they just choose one or the other so I can stop refreshing my portal all the time
I called and the woman on the phone said TAG agreements are reviewed at the same time as transfer applicants so there is no priority in terms of time with decisions. She also seemed insistent that the next batch of decisions won’t be released until April 2 and then April 16 and finally April 30. However, I think I saw someone on this forum get accepted today. Regardless, there seems to be a lot of inconsistencies on UCSB’s end. I was told by a UCSB rep that TAG agreements are reviewed and posted first and that contradicts with what I was told on the phone earlier today.
12 more days, lit.
99% sure they’re just taking forever to respond so they don’t look desperate or needy smh :))
Did anyone find out if they got regents scholar? I got from ucr but I don’t want to go there.
I’m really scared about not being admitted guys
@biochembbs9 They probably haven’t even released 70% of transfer applicant decisions…why are you worried? They said “some” for a reason.
it’s just nerves guys. a lot of us have been waiting for this for a very long time, and it’s justified even when ppl are feeling really nervous about decisions. ppl are allowed to worry! but yea, nonetheless, they’re still reviewing and we just gotta be patient
@skyinthesky yesterday about 2ish pm
All of my friends heard yesterday but me
Hi everyone. i’m looking through all of the acceptances that came out yesterday and even though they said they are doing acceptances randomly, it definitely has to do with major.
here are the majors i’ve seen get decisions:
anthropology
biology
biopsych
comp sci
comm
econ
psych(but not necessarily as many as there should be considering how popular of a major it is)
a couple other engineering majors (both people said it was their backup to comp sci)
so as you can see, other than for a few, it looks like they went by major somewhat alphabetically. i say somewhat because they leave out other popular majors like business, etc. the point of this post is that no matter what order it is, there are still many majors that have gotten no decisions, like me, poli sci. so don’t trip, if you are a major that hasn’t gotten decisions yet, your chances ARE NOT ANY WORSE THAN THEY WERE BEFORE YESTERDAY!
I’m a biochem major! Still haven’t heard
