@Skepta weird. I Tag’d Econ/Acctg and have only taken intro to Econ. Good luck keep us updated!
@Skepta I believe this may be a loophole, although it seems like it should have gone through:
Econ/acctg applicants are accepted as a pre-major.
http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/tag-matrix.pdf
@Ohm888 yea so I took math 1a, econ1, econ 2 all of which are REQUIRED on assist to be admitted to the pre major, acct1a/1b is reccomended not required. As @francescap said he got admitted through TAG without taking accounting
Did you get confirmation from UCSB that your TAG was accepted? You should have received an email.
You can go here to check if it was accepted: https://uctap.universityofcalifornia.edu
@skepta, both English completed by fall? If so, it sounds like an error on their part.
Any chance you have less than 60 units? Or less than 30 when you applied for TAG? Are your LAST 30 units from a CCC?
@DanielLB SB did not send out acceptance notices.
@Ohm888 yep english req was completed a year ago, plus classes fulfilling all 4 required areas and math as well. And no I had 60 quarter units done just by the end of my first year at my cc, il be done with 95 by the end of this spring.
accepted!!
gpa- 3.83

@skepta what about unit rules? Last 30?
@Ohm888 yea all my units are from a california cc
It sounds like an error. But this is the thing - If you don’t get in via TAG, you’re rolled over to regular admission. If you have a high GPA that sounds like something might be amiss. I think you said you had a 4.0, so all things being equal, you should have gotten in via regular.
There are so many possibilities. If they feel you left something out or misrepresented. I’m not saying you did these things, simply saying there are always other possibilities. Did you apply last year? It sounds like you did from an earlier post. Does something not match from first app to this one? They check the earlier one for any discrepancies.
Whatever it is, I hope it gets worked out. But if you’re a 4.0 I’m thinking there’s an issue somewhere. Be sure to talk to them!
@Ohm888 when it says “Applicants must have completed 30 UC-transferable semester units/45 UC-transferable quarter units prior to tag submission”, what does that mean? I thought you need 60 or 90 quarter units
@Skepta Yes I applied through TAG. I have a 3.85 GPA- so almost exactly the same as yours. TAG only specifies calc 1&2 and micro & macro Econ as requirements.
@Ohm888
Then how do you know if your TAG is accepted or not? I received an email which directed me to the link above.
Admitted!

ok Im convinced that they have made an error. For like the the 20th time, I checked EVERY TAG requirement and looked at my application and checked off the boxs as I went. I literally did everything needed and more
@Skepta give them a call tomorrow after reading your stuff it seems like a mistake
@Catsandphysics the last fall 2017 transfer received an acceptance April 24th.
There is time.
It means you need at least 30 transferable units from anywhere before you can TAG. So you need 30 by the end of summer before the TAG application. Then you need at least 60 by end of the following spring.
@Ohm888 ok yea thats what I thought but was a little confused by the wording. But yea as I said i met those requirements as well
If you do have a 4.0 and got kicked out of both TAG and regular, they’re basing it on something that may indeed be wrong. You need to find out. Good luck!!
