got my acceptance packet in the mail today!!(I live in San Francisco)
also got my acceptance package on 4/9. i live in the bay area
Has anyone been invited into Honors? I’m hoping to possibly join but it sounds like transfers can only be invited, not apply.
@ihatewaiting00 I emailed honors program at UCSB about it, apparently transfers get notified in the summer, so after you submit the SIR I think and have sent in spring quarter/semester grades. If you don’t get invited then there is no way you’ll get into the honors program as a transfer.
Are the acceptance packets in a small envelope? I got a small envelope in the mail a few weeks ago with a postcard thing saying congrats. I’m not sure if this is considered to be the acceptance packet because I imagined it to be a lot bigger.
Idk, my mom told me it came in the mail but I won’t see it till I get home, still have an evening class.
@Chanel yes it’s a smaller envelope than most conventional acceptance packets. Also it did not contain a traditional acceptance letter.
Yeah I got mine a few weeks ago. Same yellow congratulations envelope. Definitely not as big and grand as other schools. Still hyped though!!
Did anybody else get an email saying “You’re invited to join the official UC Santa Barbara Facebook App! The app is a closed group for current and newly-admitted students“ I try to do it but I’m order to get in it you have to download an app called “schools app” then when I select UCSB it says we have to enter our UCSB student email … do we already have one as a prospective student ? Or do we have to accept the SIR to get one

I just put my normal email which happened to be the one i used for my UC app and it let me in.

Major: financial math and statistic
I think this is not a popular major. Have no idea why it takes so long.
Still pending, I tagged and met all requirements so I’m confused on why I haven’t heard yet…
Question for the people that are still pending, did you guys notice a change in your financial aid page? I have been pending and still am, but my financial aid page changed today and it says that they received my FAFSA and a green check mark.
@ebonylmocanu i’m still pending and my financial aid hasn’t been updated - still red.
@ebonylmocanu my financial aid hasn’t been updated since I have been hearing some of the applicants have their Financial Aid updated even though they are pending but mine is pending for both… I even submitted my FAFSA in early December before the deadline was announced to get everything in earlier. I know they are still releasing in batches so I will save my stress and frustration later
The only UC I heard back about my FAFSA update was from UCI. UCI is my first choice anyways so I’m waiting for good results from that school (:

@RaymondAlvaradoH my major is Psychology but for UCSB I applied as an Anthropology major due to some changes this year with their psychology program.
