I got waitlisted. I checked my portal a few hours ago and it was pending so it had to have happened recently. Major: biochemistry
I just checked my portal and was admitted for Biology 
I checked the whole day but my decision was posted now at about 7PM.
I got admitted! I checked my portal at least 12 times today and it said “pending” until the last hour or so. UCSB is my dream school and I cannot even fathom this moment right now!!!
Major: pre-communications
Gpa: 3.15 (low, but I brought it up from below a 2.8 in ONE semester. Also have been on an upward trend of 3.2-3.78 for over a year) (I had to make up for my gpa at a previous CC)

IGETC: completed by end of spring 18’
MAJOR PREP: statistics (passed with an A last semester)
EC: I have been in management since I was 18 years old. Working full time and going to school full time for several years.
P. I ?'s: I explained my hardships (senior year of HS my mom got sick and was out of work for several years) and my passion for building a successful career after obtaining my degree.

It was pending when I checked yesterday, but I did see a green mark on my financial aid page.

EC: I have worked part-time, sometimes with 2 jobs at a time for the last 3 years, volunteer work, and a phd prep program for community college students at ucla
P. I ?'s: I spent a lot of time on my PIQs like months so they were well-thought out because I knew I’d have to compensate for my low gpa and write about my previous academic dismissal. I had a ucla admissions advisor read through a few and she was overall pleased and gave me few things to change.

@eggs722 definitly update on how it goes! I’m a history major CSU transfer applicant. I got denied but I’m appealing.
My gpa was 2.98 but I brought it up to a 3.22 over a quarter (which includes a retaken course hence the GPA increase)
I just got waitlisted as of today. My gpa was a 3.0 exactly missing a class for my major prep requirements. Finishing igetc. What does waitlisted mean? Do I have a chance at getting in or?

Extra stuff: I’m a one yr transfer cuz of my AP credits I only got one B but it wrecked my GPA cuz it had the most units out of all my classes also I come from a pretty academically competive hs thats known for its magnet program so I feel like that mightve helped with only having one semester of grades to show lastly all my ECs are from hs so with that being said . . .
EC: 150 hr internship at a law firm, participation in my hs magnet program, major leadership position in a non profit, varsity cheer, rubio’s cashier/waitress, and cc honors program
Essays:7.5/10 I dont really know how to measure this lol

When I clicked on check my financial aid status, all I see is the green check mark even tho I got admitted already. Did the other admitted students today get their financial aid packets already or am I looking in the wrong place?
