For the UC apartments you don’t have to pay like a normal apartment (monthly) rather you pay each quarter. Just like if you live in a residence hall - housing and tuition are billed at the same time (quarterly)
I hope I make sense

Hi again! Ok so do we need to pay housing and tuition prior to the start of the quarter or do they give you a due date during the quarter?
It’s after financial aid disburts which I believe is like a few weeks before the quarter begins @blueem
My friend doesn’t use financial aid and she has to pay during the quarter, so i think it depends on that @blueem

@qthatneedsana what better ? San Joaquin or Sierra madre ?
@“fall18’app” San joaquin is literally brand new, and it looks super nice and modern so i would recommend it But sierra madre is nice too. They’re across the street from each other. One thing you might wanna consider is that ssn joaquin is directly behind to the biggest freshman dorm but I don’t think that should be a problem
Hi guys, I am trying to complete my housing contract but I can not find a link to housing contracts anywhere…
I established my UCSB Net ID and I was able to log into my umail address but I have looked for that darn housing contract everywhere.
Does anyone know what steps I need to take to finally finish my housing contract.
Just sent in my appeal today, hopefully I hear back before June 1st!
So as I understand the housing contract for university housing is due the 15th of June, but what if I can’t commit to housing bc I’m still waiting on waitlist decisions for another university? Anyone know anyone who went through a similar situation and what they did? Am I done for with housing if I wait before submitting the form?
@“fall18’app”
San joaquin is the newest but there’s no parking closeby. I think parking is like a mile or two away for san joaquin versus sierra madre being right there. Sierra madre is a block further, but that makes negligible difference
@hailey5799 they let you fill out the housing contract late if you get in off the waitlist or appeal, but if you’ve already been accepted and you don’t turn it in on time I think that you can’t submit it
@ctehin Well then SD better come out by the SIR date or I’m committing to SB, I’m not getting screwed on housing bc I had to wait on SD.
Is anyone else having trouble signing up for the summer program? It says error: login failed, make sure username and password are correct, even though the username and password work perfectly for signing into my UCSBnetID account. I’m also having trouble signing into the Student Health Gateway Portal where it does sign me in fine, theoretically, but it says an error on their end has occurred and to contact an administrator. I just made my UCSBnetID a few hours ago, so maybe that’s why. Has anyone else had this problem?
Just got into UCSD off the waitlist! Really excited! Good luck to all of you at UCSB!
I was wondering how were you able to shadow a cardiothoracic surgeon?
Hey guys im going to UCSB next quarter (go gauchos!) and i was wondering what happens to our GPA when we transfer? I heard a rumor that we get a .1 gpa boost but im not sure how reliable that was, has anyone asked a counselor?
You start over at zero.
Has anyone’s appeal been accepted yet? If so, what is your major?
