Is admission rolling from today on ? Or starting April my portal still says pending
Also did people get accepted after the 3pm decision date or later on during the day? I’m really overwhelmed
Admitted for Pre-Econ probably yesterday, but checked this morning. GPA: 3.42 (3.7 freshman year and then had a rough first semester sophomore year due to health issues). There is hope for everyone! Good luck!!!

Is anyone else having an issue with U-Mail?
For everyone asking when decisions were posted:
It seems as if everyone who got accepted were accepted between 2-3pm yesterday. The UCSB Admissions Twitter also tweeted “Remaining transfer decisions will be posted on April 1 and April 15, and then sent on a rolling (daily) basis from April 15 - April 30. So, feel free to check the portal again on April 1 or 15!”
What that means is that if you haven’t already gotten your decision, the soonest you will be able to see it is April 1. If you do not hear from them on April 1, then admissions will be posted thoroughly between April 15-30. Not to be rude, but please stop spamming the thread with this same question because it was addressed multiple times.

I was admitted! I’m probably a good example to give you guys an idea of the “floor” for admission. I’m probably very lucky.
UC GPA: 3.24 with 3 courses on academic renewal and 12 (yes 12) W’s, all but 3 were medical withdrawals. Was sort of trending up, but had a bad fall - well, a 3.0 in 3 classes and 3 W’s.
IGETC: This may be a problem. I left one course for the spring, but I had to drop. I’m hoping my admission isn’t rescinded if I ask to take it over the summer.
Major: Pre-psychological and brain sciences
Pre-reqs: Not all - actually going to have to take a handful at UCSB
Extracurriculars:
-High school and community college baseball, played on two mlb scout teams and several usa national tournaments in HS
-Started “Guitar Club” in high school - hosted speakers, jam sessions, and performances
-Guitar, piano, & sing for ~8 years
-Performed and composed medley for winter pep rally senior year for 3000 students
-Some other more cliche stuff
I wrote some pretty strong personal statements, one chronicling my health issues that detrimented my academic performance, two about music/creativity, and one about my fascination with my major. I managed to tie one of the ones about creativity/music to psychology nicely.

If I don’t end up passing Organic Chem 12B winter quarter but gonna retake spring 19. Will they rescind my admission? Also will they accept summer courses because if I don’t pass winter and retake spring, Im going to need to take the last class of the series in summer.

Is there anyone applied Film and Media studies? I received an email from the admission office last week and it said that “If admitted to UCSB, students will see admission to the Pre-Film and Media Studies major.” But my portal still shows now is decision pending.
@starryyap I applied for it and got the same email. My portal is also still pending and i’m getting more nervous as the days go lol
