UCSB Fall 2019 Transfer Thread

@Sjk20 I would say you have a good shot! Basing it off here, https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major where the average GPA for UCSB polisci is 3.21-3.73 – 70% get accepted.

Awesome! thanks for linking that page I never knew that was available.

Hi everyone! Here are my stats.

What do you think of my chances since I’m a CSU applicant?

Major: Biology
GPA: 3.98
Major GPA: 4.0
IGETC: Complete
Prereqs: Complete
EC this past year: worked 2 jobs over summer, lab research, over 100 hours volunteering at a hospital, active in clubs.
Applied: UCSD, UCLA, UCB

Exactly one month until the first round of decisions are out

Yay one month!!! Hopefully it goes by fast.

Hi guys! We have 17 more days! I wish you all the best & good luck!

^^^ that’s only the first roll-out. It will likely be way longer for most applicants.

I’m a tag applicant, will that be the same?

^^^ I’m not sure. I know last year some people who TAG’d didn’t hear in first and even second rollouts, but I can’t remember which UC it was.

Based on last years thread, many TAG students didn’t find out on the first round.

I found out on the first round and I wasn’t a TAG students. I had a 4.0 gpa. So I assume that most students with high GPA and obviously accepted get sent out first.

Bit of a different transfer, But here are my stats!
Cal Poly Pomona Transfer
All major pre-req’s done by end of Spring 2019
3.88 GPA
Major: Accounting and Economics
EC’S: Hermanos Unidos, Part-time Job in my Field of Study
Applied: UCSB, UCLA, UCI

Last years thread seems a lot more active than this years

Usually gets really active once acceptances come out.

Oh true

These days are dragging on, I just want to know already!

@HeyItsNick I feel that, the anxiety has ruined my sleeping schedule

first round already went out???

@ashyashy Wait did it really?! :open_mouth:

I don’t think so. On the portal, it says that decisions are going to be released starting March 19th…
