3.4 is great, but not a lock like a 3.8, which is the example the counselor used.

Is comm impacted at all?

So they will usually let most people in with TA towards the end?

Honestly, i have no idea if comm is impacted for UCSD.

What’s TA? You mean TAG?

i have a 3.9 and no tag…

^ ok seems like i m on the roller coaster HAHAHAHH u just made my day

Oops. Sorry i’m typing from my phone. Yes i meant TAG.

Then yes, that makes the most sense. They need to tally up all the TAGgers first, then decide how many non-TAGgers to let in.

iambeowulf710 has 3.9 no tag…

…?

:( hopefully we’ll hear by TOMORROW since a lot of people is perdicting Wednesday for LA

If they just finished reviewing today, I don’t believe there’s any chance at all they’re going to release them by tomorrow. At the earliest, I would think we’d hear by Thursday or Friday.

Are you sure you’re interpreting her body language accurately? I’m sure there’d be a least a handful of 3.0 Non-TAG admits, given that last year everyone with a 3.0, regardless of TAG, was admitted.

Also, I know she didn’t state it, but what do you think the minimum cut-off nonTAG GPA will rise to? 3.2? (I have a 3.19)

How experienced did sound? Had she been doing admissions for awhile?

What was her cup size?

@Oliver. Well I asked her “So I have a 3.03 without TAG. How am I looking?” Her response was one of those take-a-deep-breath and then slowwwwly exhale with a fake smile.

I have no idea how long she’d been doing admissions, but she was probably in her 40s.

With a 3.19 I’d feel a lot better than if I had a 3.03. I highly doubt you’ll be denied unless it’s an impacted major. I can’t imagine admission requirements going up more than .2 at the most. The previous TAG requirement was 2.8 (years ago) and it moved up to 3.0 after that.

All of the people that I know got in on the first batch and they all have less than a 3.5 and some of them do not even have tag. One guy has a 3.1 and no tag and he got in.

I have a 3.6 + tag and I am still waiting. My mojor is human bio though.

i got accepted in the first batch with a 3.4 no tag and have my math class in progress right now…if i can get accepted im sure most of you guys are fine

@Grimes99: Thanks for the response. I hope you get in man – I think you still have a shot. You never know, her facial expression/action in replying to your question could have just been her personality/expressing her negative judgement of you. I’ve observed that many older-aged women in school counseling / office positions are like that. It’s irritating. (Of course not all are like this, but many are.)

@Cowgirl1: Where is this one guy with a 3.1 and no TAG who got in?!! What’s his username on here? (Did you hear about it on this board or somewhere else, lol)

@Oliver: Thanks man. I’m hoping I was just reading too far into it. Either way, I’m gonna appeal the crap out of it if I get declined. They’ll have to drag me out of the office! :P

I had a question. So I’m a tag acceptance and I’m on quarter system at a CC, and if I happen to change one of the classes that are solely for unit credit and NOT a prereq or anything for IGETC, should it be okay?

I had changed from human sexuality to american government and politics.

I’ve emailed them and the ucsd rep for my area is out of town till the 25th. I should still be good, right?
