That’s pretty interesting. The said you’re admitted but you have a red flag that appears. If your admitted then, from what it looks like here on the “UCSD Transfer Admit Day Mystery” thead haha, you should be able to register. Maybe that transfer day thingy doesn’t mean much. A “conditional acceptance” would be that you are accepted but you have to satisfy a specific condition that they ask for. For example, they would say, “you are accepted but you need to finish MATH 1532135 with a C or better or else we will take away your acceptance.”

@ Fusion,

Yea I hope it doesn’t mean anything. I’m not sure if I want to go to SD but it sure would be nice to have the option.
There’s to many inconsistancies to rely on the transfer admit “leak”

That’s what the admission staff always tells me though. I finished my the math requirement during the winter so I was stressing about having a conditional acceptance for myself. It doesn’t seem like it was a problem. I got UCD, UCSB, and UCI so far.

But yea, i havent heard of anyone with a conditional acceptance but I could have swore i saw someone post a thread on page one titled something like " UCLA provisional acceptance."

I’m really annoyed cause I need to sign up for the UCD transfer admit day soon bc space is supposed to be filling up soon. But if I’m in at UCSD I’m not going to Davis so there is no reason to make a 500 mile car trip up north with my crappy car (yeah im the one who made that thread). But the Transfer day thing is May 7 and what if it’s already full by the time I hear from SD? Dumb.

Edit: Figured out solution. I’ll just sign up for Admit day anyway if I can. Anyone know if you have to have SIR’d in order to register?

Yes son, 3 days, I know we can do it. Let’s not set ourselves up for depression though, should it happen that we’ll attend our second choice school (Davis for you; UCSC for me).

@enchanted: I think you should call the admissions folks up and let them know your situation. I wouldn’t make yourself pay money unnecessarily/waste gas+time+body energy. They should be understanding because they’re part of the UC system of all schools – they should honor the fact that another UC (SD) hasn’t released decisions yet, impeding you from being able to RSVP promptly. Best wishes.

what math class did u take for transferring? I took college algebra which qualifies for the quantitative reasoning requirement at UCSB but will it fulfill that requirement at UCSD?
