Does anyone know if being able to register for admit day means you are accepted in the next batch? And in return, does that also mean if I can’t register I’m rejected?

thanks! btw, I’m a transfer from UC Davis (Mechanical Engineering/ Alt: Engineering Science) with a 3.16 GPA, IGETC completed and some design teams and leadership positions within the college of engineering here.

Does anyone know if UCSD has released any rejections on the previous batches? So far all I’ve seen is acceptances…are they really waiting till the 30th to tell everyone that has been waiting the longest that they’ve been rejected? That sounds like a horrible practice!

^yes that is exactly what they’re doing. There will be acceptances in the last batch but mostly rejections I think since they haven’t rejected anyone

I applied for UCSD for Psychology and I’m still waiting to hear from them. I have a 3.5 GPA and I think I have completed all the IGETC course equivalents (I took most of my classes on a Florida Community College and only the last 4 at a California CC)…does that make me not eligible for IGETC? The advisors at my college did not make that very clear.
Also, I have been working in order to put myself through college since day 1, so that left me with no time of EC…the problem is that I didn’t write that on my personal statement bc i didn’t think that was the question being asked and I didn’t wanna make them “pity” me. Now I’m starting to regret that decision. Can anyone offer any input, I’m going crazy with this wait…

@paloma Don’t worry about it. I can’t really tell about your IGETC thing from what you said but I believe that the IGETC isn’t a requirement for admission. It’s just strongly strongly recommended. But we’re all pretty much in the same boat with the worry/stress thing. Don’t stress. Eat some chocolate or something lol

@HiedraEncantado- lol thanx for the suggestion! Also, do you know anything about the Appeal process? (let’s hope none of us has to take that route…but just in case)

No, I don’t think I did. (I think the was a “not applicable” option) and on the January update, I specified that my official transcripts were still being evaluated at my CCC…it took them 6 months to evaluate it!!!

I keep getting that the UCSD myapplication page has a high volume of people on it at once (or something like that) and it won’t let me check my status right now… Any one else getting this?

I think a lot of people have midterms this week, so that could lead to the increase of traffic on the site. In any case, we’ll know in three days :)
