<p>Housing trick (not proven legitimate yet)</p>
<p>Supposed rejection message “Our records indicate that your admissions status will not allow you to proceed with this Housing Application process for the term indicated. Please contact the Housing Office at 858-534-4010 during our normal weekday office hours of 8am to 4pm”</p>
<p>Supposed acceptance message “The housing application will become available in late-March. Please check back. If you would like to learn more about housing at UCSD, please use the links in the Housing menu above.”</p>
<p>Default message that means nothing “The address above is what we currently have as your Summer Contact Information. This address is the address we use if we mail you housing contract information.”</p>
<p>So is it just me or have other people not gotten the admission status yet?</p>

<p>My parents (living in the US) got a phone call from UCSD but the person on the phone would not tell them the reason they were calling, they said they could only speak to me. I am living abroad and phone calls are difficult to say the least. Could someone tell me what the phone call was about?</p>

<p>@hellis15 it was probably a call to inform you that you got accepted. They would not leave messages or tell the parents.</p>

<p>@hellis15: UCSD called some accepted applicants this year to notify them of their status. So you probably got accepted as well. Congratulations! :)</p>
