UCSD Class of 2020 Discussion

I just got accepted to UCSD, but I did not tell them I switched from AP Calc AB to CP Calc because I thought I would not get in. Would they take away my admissions if I told them this information on monday?

Anyone know how long it takes for admission packets to come in the mail?

@Dawg619 By just got accepted, do you mean “just,” like a few minutes ago?

@jackisawesome No at around 5

Oh ok. Literally so stressed atm @Dawg619

@thejappster technically hispanic

@jackisawesome Don’t worry I got in with a 1610 SAT and 4.14 UC GPA. I think I’ve seen your stats on other acceptance threads like Davis. You should be fine!

Can they just reject me and end this misery jfc

@DoctorP

You’ve got some great points here. I honestly didn’t consider yield as a major factor, but I suppose if UCSD wants to distinguish itself from other mid-range UC’s, that’d be the way to do it.

I’ve changed my stance. I believe decisions will largely resemble those of UCI last year. Someone said that the later decisions were largely waitlists/rejections, with a sprinkling of acceptances.

Also, I spent a few minutes hunting for waitlist stats and found nothing on the common data set. Someone claimed that not a single person had been accepted off the waitlist in the past couple of years.

Really? o_O like an actual rejection? Because from looking at the last 50 pages, a lot of people just got the March 30th message.

And I don’t think it’s by major, some art majors got accepted already.

Got in yesterday via phone call lol. Civil engineering major! got waitlisted by UCD today though…kinda confusing considering UCSD is more competitive… oh well :slight_smile:

I feel like ucsd is more numbers based…

How many waves have gone out so far? And how many are we suspecting there will be?

go to sleep bb @jackisawesome

Yep @yeu519

LOL I wish @mermaid29 I am too anxious to sleep atm tho

waitlisted by Davis and March 30ed by SD :frowning:

Honestly I wish UCSD were more holistic
