UCSD Class of 2020 Discussion

holy moly… That 68k is still up from 48,000 from last year though

@edenwish in which way? :slight_smile: I imagine that their office was open too since I emailed them about the waves and they gave me a very very generic response, the same one that other people got. But as of the email that told people to check their portal, I imagine that that is just automated and was simply a delayed response. I wish that they were a little more helpful in telling us when they would be giving out the rest of the results. I can hardly sleep haha! UCSD you’re a fiend. :-S

I still don’t understand why they did what they did. Why couldn’t they send all the decisions at once? This is absolutely horrible

@selectyour That 48k is CA residents only, it was 64k last year

@Velouria A little late but - I’m out of state with pretty average grades (3.67 unweighted) with ACT score of 29. Since I’m currently living in the South, I haven’t taken the SAT. However, I did get accepted into both UCSD and UCD! So I’m sure that you won’t have much to worry about!!

I hope you get your results soon, with it being the results you want -
and congrats on getting accepted into UCD! :slight_smile:

UCSD just emailed me back right now:

“Thank you for your email. UC San Diego is currently evaluating applications. Freshmen application decisions will be posted by March 30th and Transfer application decisions will be posted by April 30th. Please continue to check the MyApplication website for your application decision.”

“Please continue to check…” makes me feel like decisions will be released in waves.

According to askmssun:
Davis Freshman Decisions & Some (?) San Diego Freshman and Transfer Decisions are Out NOW!

March 11, 2016 | 5:09 pm

Check your decision for Davis at MyAdmissions and for San Diego at MyApplication. Share the news!

Davis should have released ALL freshman decisions today. I am unable to determine whether San Diego is releasing all freshman decisions or only a batch (the campus typically released ALL freshman decisions on the same day in the past); transfer decisions were typically released in batches in the past so don’t stress if you don’t hear back today.

So this is weirdly unusual it seems-they are still reviewing? How is that possible?

How long does the mail usually take to arrive?

If you haven’t been accepted … If you go to Off Campus Housing -> List myself as a roommate , do you have a UCSD email ?

@Til3005 yup

I suppose its not a " Housing trick " then

@Til3005 darn lol

Does everyone come up with an email on the housing thing?

Its amazing that they create a email for every applicant . Seems pointless to me

where can i check “list myself as a roomate?”

@chantal225 yours doesn’t ?

nvm found it

Click Housing -> a new page opens to the left click UCSD students -> a new page opens click list myself as a roommate

@Til3005 I have an email that pops up too
