Hopefully we’ll start seeing calls being made after around 3 p.m. today (because that’s when most kids are out of school). But now I’m not so sure after seeing that ^^.
@gingerspark99 I’m still learning about this, but it looks as if faculty call URMs the first week, and then students call the Regents and other high admits the next week. Just guessing from reading old posts.
D just got a call she was admitted. We went to the VIP tour last Saturday too. Not sure if she’s going there but the call was a nice touch.

So everyone, is the calling campaign starting early this year?
when I did the “housing trick” a UCSD email was generated for me. has anyone figured out if these means anything yet?
may i ask what their phone number was? did it also say “restricted” for you?
Looks like the UCSD VIP tour was for admitted students, just like the local UCSB Chancellor’s Receptions.
About the housing trick: when I looked at this thread a week ago and tried it, I didn’t get a generated email. however upon trying it again today it seems as though my ucsd email is my first initial, middle initial, and last name.
If you got invited to all access tour, it means you are in. I went today and they said we were all admitted!

It is only for San Diego people I think, everyone there was from San Diego, so I would not worry if you don’t live in SD
It seems to be a way that UCSD can recruit top SD applicants who have a good chance of being admitted to UCLA and Berkeley
@wormholes I have no idea when they will start releasing decisions for others
^^ transfers will start hearing mid march, so my guess is freshman will start hearing the same time as well (couple weeks)

@wormholes I know! It feels like we’ve been waiting forever! But I just have to remind myself I’ve waited months, what’s a few more weeks?! I’m a transfer so I could find out up until late April but I’m hoping it’s earlier. It was about this time last year that I decided to leave my 4 year university I was at and go back to community college and go to UCSD so its definitely been a long time coming. Good luck!
