Anyone local (SD area) receive the invite?
3.94/4.74 and 4.4 UC Weighted and Capped GPA. 2240. Human Biology. Accepted at Berkeley (no Regents), CHP/Regents at Irvine and UCSB Regents, but no UCSD tour invite, call or reception invite. Should I be concerned? I know Davis and SD are very impacted/competitive with bio.

@jamiejamie8100 I would be pretty amazed if you were rejected, given your stats and UCB acceptance (congrats on that btw!!!). I wouldn’t worry about not getting anything, not getting anything does not mean rejection!

What exactly are these “calls” that everyone is talking about?
Received SB Chancellor’s and CWH at Irvine. No email/call yet.

@jaquabert The phone calls are sent out by UCSD to notify some students (typically under-represented minorities or incredibly competitive candidates) of their admittance. Some happen before or after the decision is released on the portal. Based off of information we have found so far, this week some engineering students will be called, starting next week other majors will receive calls.

I’m a bit concerned now with all these reception invites going out… I feel like I have fairly competitive stats: 3.97/4.3 UC GPA and 34 ACT. I was confident with my essays. Should I be concerned that I have not heard from any UCs yet regarding scholarships/invites/calls?
