I was accepted yesterday. Totally wasnt expecting to hear from UCSD. I was checking my email for UCLA update (got denied) and I saw an email saying my UCSD status has been changed. Congratulations was the first thing I saw. So excited.

i really don’t like how UCSD is trying to keep all the leftover high stat kids by offering them ‘Undeclared’ acceptance. it seems every one of ‘Undeclared’ are either from CS or BioE incl. my daughter. it’s not fair for less stat kids who wants to go to SD for uncapped majors but wn’t have room nor it is fair to high stat kids by giving them false/slim hope of transferring into capped majors.
although we’ll have to wait for Cal (waitlisted at LA), i’ll send my D to UCSB where she’s already been accepted for ME over ‘Undeclared’ at SD just on principle alone.
I hear their ge requirements are some of the hardest ones. There are more ge requirements and they are harder classes. Just to clarify I don’t go to UCSD, just an excited senior like all you guys.
