<p>OK - I just talked to someone in the UCSD admissions office, and asked why I got rejected when I have TAG. The guy was super nice, reviewed my application, and said he didn’t see anything to warrant my being rejected. He is sending it to his senior admissions officer with notes to reprocess my application!</p>
<p>So - if any of you guys have TAG too, I suggest you call. Maybe they were hoping we would not make a stink because we had other offers - maybe they could weed out a lot of applicants that way - but if we have TAG I think its their bad that they rejected us…</p>
<p>I hope this isn’t false hope, but I am a little bit hopeful again.</p>

<p>hoping 4 the best!!! way to be proactive! i think you just gave hope to lots of people! im already in and it hurts to see so many tags not get in…its like ok i love this school but if the **** people like this how much pride can i rally have… so go get um tag people dont take no for a answer!!!</p>

<p>I was actually really worried that TAG wouldn’t be binding anymore because they don’t actually sign a contract with you anymore. I don’t know when that changed, but it was recent - I’ve been in community college forever and they always signed a contract w/ you, until a few years ago. Then they made up this new-fangled rule that you would just check that stupid box on the app.</p>
<p>I think you should tell them you were confused because you didn’t sign a TAG agreement w/ them, but you still followed all the TAG guidelines as laid out by your counselor…</p>
<p>I dunno - maybe that sounds dumb, but I do think it’s kinda shady they don’t sign anything w/ you these days - then its your word against theirs - and checking a box is supposed to be a reliable method of determining if someone is a legit CC transfer student?!</p>

<p>OMG! Stupid s**ts miscalculated my gpa. I might be in. Said was a 3.46, actually is a 4.0.

I cannot believe this people. They are reviewing and will talk to me next week.

<p>I am a TAG student that was rejected, like some of you guys, and I called immediately after finding out. The guy I spoke to said he would make sure that he hands this matter to someone who actually had the power to fix this, and says he will call me back in a couple days. I will be hounding them until they fix it. They are extreme F*** Ups!! I did my part, why can’t they do theirs?</p>
<p>hey martin, maybe you should look at the number of recent “I was rejected” posts. Even people with TAG’s… I said they were saving the rejections for last. I was (semi)right. Who’s the dumb ass again?</p>
<p>I also had a TAG and got rejected! I’m going to raising hell until i get in. There seems to be a good number of us who had TAGs and got denied so i’m hoping it’s just another one of their errors</p>

<p>Exactly. I was almost certain I was going to be rejected for some reason. But I don’t need some doomsday-er to come in here and tell me that. Just don’t be a dick. That’s all.</p>
<p>I got rejected because I typed Spanish 5 instead of Spanish 101 on my app. I meant to indicate it was 5 units. They had me short of 5 units on my app so I was denied. </p>
<p>But the guy was looking at my app for about 5 minutes in silence with me and I asked if my name was so awesome that it crashed the computer. Then he said “I don’t know why you didn’t get in, what’s going on?” then he put me on hold and came back 5 mins later and told me I’m missing 5 units. And we found out that it was my typo that got me rejected to UCSD. He told me to appeal but nothing is a sure thing. They already accepted as many students as they can expect and they all typed the right numbers.</p>
<p>But me, I’m a careless ■■■■■■. I deserve to go to CC for another semester.</p>
<p>**** i got rejected today too damnit UCSD is so unprofessional ive been trying to reach them on the phone all day and all i get is that they will call me back… *** this **** **** my life!!!</p>
<p>I seriously hope some people get fired or at the very least reprimanded very very harshly. Being careless, lazy and unprofessional is no freaking excuse for UCSD. I wish the best to all of you… good luck!</p>
