@Solstice1 I wanted to get all my lower division classes out of the way before I transfered. Im a Biochem major I was missing physic 2b and 2c. And Calc 3.

My boyfriends GPA dropped to a 3.57 in mechanical engineering and his major GPA to 3.5 do you guys think he still has a chance?
@TransferJ Which class caused his GPA to drop? Was it a course related to his major?
Yes he got a B in the third Physics
I still think he still has a chance. It’s hard to say with UCSD since they put a lot of emphasis on GPA. Worst case, I think they might admit him as undetermined or his alt. major.
Where else did he apply/tag?
He applied to UCD I’m pretty sure he will get in there. I guess it all just depends on the applicant pool this year.

@Simoneye Oh gotcha! Smart choice. So does that mean that this fall is your last year having U-link? Since the old contract you can have it up to 4 years?
@hdoan24 I sent an email to Berkeley saying I might get a C in Physics and they were like "okay we’ve withdrawn your admission offer. I didn’t update UCSD about a class I swapped in my spring semester and they didn’t care one bit. They admit by GPA and I think Cal wouldn’t have cared once I had shown up for classes.
Just curious since I’ve heard of this happening, what do you do if you’re not admitted to your selected major and you’re placed as undeclared? Is there any way to get into the major you originally wanted?
Why on earth would you tell them you might get a C?
If it hasn’t even happened yet why would you screw yourself over like that?
My GPA is about 3.6, and I’m doing mechanical engineering, but I’ll be missing physics 197, and I heard the school is super strict for students not finishing major prerequisite class, but I also heard different things from my college counselor. I just got the offer from UCI a few days ago, so apparently it’s not a big deal for UCI. But what are my chances of getting in UCSD seriously??? Anyone have know anything about it??

My friend who is transferring this year has heard back from UCSD already (since last week), so it is definitely not impossible to have already gotten an admissions decision from this school. By the way, she got accepted!

Accepted: UCR, UCSC
Pending: UCSD, UCLA
Rejected: No UC so far…
