This year is super weird…I think it’s UCSD’s trick to keep its yield rate high. But you are definitely qualified. If you still want SD, opt-in.

I was replying you in particular. I applied last year, got waitlisted, and got off by the end of spring quarter. Back then, I was super unqualified. And I believe you have great chance. However, the anxiety will really kill you. So before you do that, find a safe school

Do waitlist people get to see financial aid or not until admitted, for UCSD, I know with the waitlists some schools do some don’t. Sometimes waitlist people can see a financial aid award package and sometimes they cannot UNTIL officially admitted. Congrats to everyone who got in!

Hey guys, I’ve been a lurker for the past 2 months or so…reading every page and checking the UCSD portal every 5 minutes like a lot of you. SDSU was my top choice and when I was rejected I was crushed…and it was only my top choice because for me UCSD was my dream school that I would not be good enough to get into. I’ve gotten B’s and C’s and withdrawn from different math classes about 3 times. I’ve spent 4 years at a community college stressing about not being able to achieve my dreams or not following the general timeline of graduating in 4 years and comparing myself to others. For those waitlisted or rejected, I sincerely hope you don’t give up. If I could get into UCSD then it’s definitely possible for many of you too whether its Fall 2019 or Fall 2020. I wish you all the best and hope you find many other doors that will open for you that you can take to get to where you want to go.
