@smugguy90 no way. thats the exact situation I’m in
UCR dropout from 10~11, have like 2 classes that I managed to pass and transferred over to CC. 4.0 GPA at CC classes that accounts for 58 semester units and then 6 units from UCR that transferred over. only difference is even CPP rejected me haha
still waiting on UCI but if this is true I guess I should expect a rejection. I am going to check to see if what you said is true, but if that’s the case maybe privates would be a better option for me next time around?
Hello all. I was accepted to the triton fam, but I’ve committed to UCLA. I even feel bad for turning down SD, but I am an LA native and it’s more convenient
Financial aid packages (the official one) typically doesn’t get released until July/August. Your estimates should already be available if you were accepted.
@AGGIES17 hello, I am also from the bay area (mountain view). I didn’t get the email. What’s your top choice university? I am wondering if they already had a preliminary assessment on which university you would go?
@dbxstian Wow… your stats are exactly same as mine! So maybe it was too competitive and we were just out of luck… haha I will definitely send an appeal too! Can I ask you major by the chance? please update me about your appeal stats too! Good luck ya!

I have learned that with my AP’s from high school I have 62 semester units, but the way UCSD counts AP’s I get less credit so I have only 89 of the 90 required quarter units. 1 quarter unit short I have talked to my counselors and they are helping me with my appeal as previously my counselor had told me I had everything done due to the way their system is. Wish me luck guys!
You guys should join the Facebook page: UCSD Transfer 2018 and UCSD Transfer 2017 because they answer a ton of questions, make plans for Triton Transfer day, room and housing info, financial aid info and more! Good luck to all! Open to all acceptances, waitlists, appeals etc.
@onetoten aerospace/mechanical engineering. Yup, lots of people are telling me its getting really competetive at any UC! UCSD just told me they do consider late appeals so I’m waiting if they’ll accept it! Also, UCM just admitted me atleast I got in one! lol
@dbxstian isn’t the appeal due on May 15th? I checked their website and it saids they will accept till 15th??? Btw, did you call the admission regarding the appeal? I wanted to call the admission to ask something but the line is busy also, can I ask what are you appealing for?
@onetoten Yah I think so. I sent an email to admissions. admissionsreply@ucsd.edu. They took a couple of days to reply though. They’ll tell you why you were rejected. And I’m not appealing based on rejection. I never sent an application, so I’m appealing to see if they’ll consider my application this late after the deadline! Hopefully they do
@dbxstian I just got denied from UCI as well… feels like my life is end…
how do you appeal if you have not submitted application at all? It that is allowed, I would definitely give a shot to SDSU. What is your grounds for appealing late admission? I am so sorry if you are annoyed… I am just that desperate:(
I will be attending UCSD but I am suprised I got denied from UCI and UCM. I thought I wasnt going to get into any university because I had 7 withdrawals. However I got straight A’s for the past year which is why I got into UCSD most likely.
@onetoten I appealed on the basis of financial issues. Since the application fees are pretty expensive and I couldn’t afford it. I researched SDSU and they do accept late appeals but they seem a bit stricter. Do you have any UC’s you’re interested in? They should be more leniant and you’re already in the UC system so its a bit easier. Also, UCI just accepted my appeal today! So I’ll be sending them an application!
ACCEPTED

currently deciding between ucsd and chapman!!
I was really feeling Ucsd until I saw what Merced was offering, plus that I’m eligible for Blue and Gold! Does anyone know if you can do the verification processes without actually committing? Does it have any affect except on the aid they offer?
Really wanna know what my financial aid packet from Ucsd will be because if they give as much as Merced and I’m eligible for B/G then I would be a lot less stressed about this decision lol, Ucsd for sure.
