@chingujinju i actually just emailed them today about how I’m off the UCSB waitlist and can’t afford to pay two other sir fees after already committing to Santa Cruz. Maybe if you did it too they’ll realize how inconvenient it is to wait especially given the circumstances right now. I mentioned I already know ppl got off on May 28th and how a week is longer than the time they have to make their decisions, so it’s only right that they can send out more!

Don’t know if we’ll hear back today but definitely will be emailing them. I just think it’s ridiculous that we don’t hear back when other UCs are taking people off the waitlist. I just wanna know if I got in or not, not playing this waiting game smh.

Yeah I dont think they released anything yesterday. There’s no way only one person got off the waitlist.

Just emailed UCSD admissions and all they responded with was “Waitlisted students will be notified of their status by no later than mid-summer.” lol
They’re prob waiting for UCLA and UCB to finish admitting from their waitlist, UCLA has admitted a ton of waitlisted ppl, therefore hopefully opening up a lot of spots for us here

Dude this is actually insane?? I figure you would have a really good chance for UCI but they straight up denied? I think they had a shitton of people apply this year or something because their average transfer GPA range for CS is like 3.4-3.9 as far as I remember.

I worked as a waitress at a restaurant near home and worked as a computer science/math tutor at my community college. Didn’t join any clubs because I was focused on finishing all pre-reqs + IGETC in 2 years. My essays weren’t the greatest, probably a 7/10.
