I’m glad there doing this. The way they did it before with only one deadline in November was not that great.

Innovation is coming out of regular decision so if that is the student’s likely path then they would be deferred early action.

PaCE would definitely be deferred since that is a pathway program.

That likely means that the EA deadline is the real deadline, because the school or the more popular majors are at risk of filling up in EA and becoming much more selective in RD.

Although if the prior RD deadline was November, that is not much of a change compared to before. Just don’t be tempted to procrastinate.

November 1st used to be the difference between on-time and late for us. Regular decision will not be the space available students next year - those will be the students applying after January 15th or submitting credentials late.

Will a student next year who opts in to IA on application be considered for EA Fall/Summer with a January notification or will they be automatically be deferred to Regular decision for IA with a March Notification

Thanks, but the question was if they apply IA will they only be considered for IA, and not for fall/spring in the EA round
Since UF does not distinguish between Fall/Spring start on the application and this is a new procedure

IA admissions would be given during RD. EA will only be Fall/Summer admits, so even if you apply IA you could still get in fall/summer during EA.

Application Deadline: November 1
Materials Deadline: November 15
Decision Notification: January 24

REGULAR DECISION:
Application Deadline: January 15
Materials Deadline: January 31
Decision Notification: March 14
