Have not spent time researching this but would love to have opinion of which school you recommend for OSS Stem
major and someone who plans on runnning on team.

What kind of STEM major? STEM encompasses a LOT of different majors.
Math, Engineering or premed.
@Torrchase that’s pretty broad. And really can be addressed at just about any school.
Your kid is still waiting for acceptances and financial aid from some other colleges. I would suggest you wait until all acceptances and aid packages are received. Then look at the top three or so contenders…ams then ask your questions.
UF is much stronger in Engineering. UF is stronger in the health sciences, but you can also do Premed at FSU, but your options of major and research will be more limited. Both schools are about the same in math. FSU is at least as strong as UF in physics and chemistry, if not a bit stronger.
If you’re seriously thinking about Engineering, go UF.
Running with the D1 Cross Country team? I think both schools are about the same. You’ll need to see the facilities and talk with the coaches to determine which is the best fit.
