Uh oh did I accidentally apply without knowing it?

Hey guys, just recently I set up an account at IU Bloomington. I wanted to see what the online application looked like so I clicked on “START A NEW APPLICATION” and the application appeared. However when I tried to quit out of the program and clicked on cancel, a message appeared saying: “Thank you for applying online to Indiana University. With the online application, you are using our preferred method of applying to IU.” What does this mean exactly? Can I still apply for real?

At the top of the online application page, it does say that ^^. It doesn’t mean you have already applied, but they’re assuming you’re in the process, so they’re thanking you (and letting you know that they prefer you do it online rather than on paper).

Underneath those words, once you actually start an application, it will say something like: “According to our records, you have started the following application(s):” and then it lists some of your application information.

Don’t worry, you haven’t applied without knowing it. The application itself is several pages, plus it asks for an application fee.
