Congrats Dreth7 on your interview call for GPPA medicine and good luck…

…Do you mind posting your stats?

Others, please be patient…The college needs to go thru 350 to 400 applications. It is very time consuming. You have time until March 18th to receive the interview call… Do not lose hope…

GPPA Med interview invites began last week…supposed to continue until around March 18th…

Just checked with the GPPA person - actually you have to have an interview at GPPA Med to get into GPPA Medicine and you have to have an interview at the honors college in order to be invited for GPPA Med…you don’t have to be admitted to the honors college before you’re invited though so you just have to have gone to your honors college interview…

Geez my daughter’s Honor’s interview is on the 18th of Feb. She couldn’t take the earlier date because of the michigan trip. I wonder if the date of interview has any impact on chances of acceptance, especially if acceptance is on a rolling basis. Yikes worried now.

wait im confused…so far on this thread ive heard that you dont need an honors interview to be invited for med interview, but ive also read that you actually do. And someone said that you dont need a med interview to be accepted into GPPA med, but someone else said that you do…anyone have anything to back either of these theories up for sure? haha :)

I think the confusion is that they’ve restructured the program from past years. If you look back, you’ll see that plenty of people have stated that they were admitted to the interview without the Med interview. It seems, however, that they have put an end to that, but not everyone in the office is informed, thus all of the confusion.

This is what confuses me. You are the second person to indicate that there was a mass mailing to gppa applicants. We did not receive any mass mailings. We did receive an email for an invite to honor’s college interview back on Jan. 25 though if that is what you mean.

If people are receiving mass emails regarding this program we would appreciate you sharing the information since it appears not all of us are getting these distributions. Thank you.

Weather or not you got the mass email probably means nothing. The email told all applicants to look for an email from the Honors College about the honors college interviews. These interviews started in the last week of January and will continue into early March. The GPPA Medicine interviews started this week and will go till March 18. GPPA medicine interview invitations will probably go out in waves until mid March. The acceptances will be sent out by email and snail mail on April 2. If you never get a Med interview by the March 18 date, you can assume you have been rejected from GPPA Medicine.

No need to panic yet, March 18 is still a month away.

did anyone get accepted into honors college yet? if we receive an email saying that we got accepted into honors college, can we still receive a gppa medicine interview or not?

Personally, I do not think I will receive in interview, but at this stage in the game, NO ONE knows who will be getting an interview. Until March 18th, everything is up in the air.

I also got the Honors College acceptance email. False hope… lol.

HEY, if anyone who has received the HC acceptance, and then later gets the GPPA interview, can you post it on here? I’m also thinking that I won’t get the GPPA interview because I got the HC acceptance…

Getting the Honors College acceptance DOES NOT mean you will not get the second interview. I know some one who got the second interview invitation last week and got the Honors College acceptance today. The Honors College acceptance go out about 2-3 weeks after the honors college interview. Just keep your fingers crossed and wait. Don not give up hope yet.
