I know that the Common Application generally prefers acronyms not to be used Would it be okay to use UIL on the activity list to save space? For those not familiar with UIL, it stands for University Interscholastic League and is attached to many academic and athletic competitions in Texas. Thanks in advance for any responses!
I personally would spell it out. There is a chance that an adcom may have never heard of UIL. There is also a chance that one adcom somewhere may have just started his job as an adcom this year and is unfamiliar with any terminology.
