^^ Boris Johnson is awesome. if you are a lefty you should go with the Lib Dems…

^^ Labour’s leftist policies? Since ‘New Labour’ I’d call them the centrists of british politics. in most respects libdems are fare more left-leaning

Concerning Brown: I think I have hardly ever seen a politician with such a disparity between substance and likeability.

It’s hardly undisputed that he is an ingenious guy (just look at his academic track record), and as a chancellor he almost pulled off a true economic wonder before the crisis came along. Also I have hardly ever seen someone beat him in true policy debate (Cameron knew why he never picked up policy during PMQs, he would have looked stupid).
Sadly his image was ruined by his party, the crisis and an unimaginable amount of scandals (involving him too). He is just not carved out for the TV-age. If this was a radio-democracy Im damn sure he would have done far better. Well so long.

Concerning coalitions: I highly doubt that any real agreements between Libdems and Cons will come around. They are too far from each other on too many issues.
Labour was very smart to let meet first. that way if the talks fail a LabLib coalition won’t seem like a power-grab by the losers, but like the only realistic political option. If he would have taken his constitutional right to go first he would have lost all public backing.
