UMass Amherst class of 2024 Early Action Results

Saw on twitter… apparently the best place for info… EA results for the week are now done… there won’t be anymore this week

Link please?

Its on twitter.
UMass admissions says about EA results:
“Hello ! Early Action decisions for THIS week have now all been released. Those EA decisions continue to be released through early January. We will email the address on file with us when a decision is online.”

No more results for this week - they may resume next week and continue till early Jan.

Any in-state student got merit aid? If so, how did you find it?

In state student with SAT 1490, GPA 4.2 admitted. No honors, no word on any merit in the admission letter

That is so disappointing! Are they taking a long weekend its only Thursday early afternoon!

@tnknes as has been mentioned several times in the thread… in state students dont’ really get merit aid… other than State Specific awards through your highschool, or for those accepted into honors are eligible for 2K a year to cover the room cost difference

Why wouldn’ t they release more acceptances today and tomorrow?

@hs2020dad which twitter account are you looking at the only one i can find is @umassamherst and it does not say anything re admissions thanks

They only released EA results on one day. Is this the way it has been done in the past? Truly they seem to enjoy playing mental games with students.

@Momtofourkids its @umassadmissions (sorry - I can’t copy link somehow) but search for that account handle on twitter.

Ugh. So annoying. Thank God my son isn’t anxious about this but I know many students are.

At least we know not to bother checking his portal until next week

This is ridiculous, its Thursday mid afternoon. And its a tweet response to someone, not even an official tweet. Is the office staffed by part time interns? LOL>

@hs2020dad thank you - I was searching for Umass Amherst Admissions and would have though the handle you referenced was for all UMass campuses not just Amherst so that you for clarifying!

My son feels the same.

OOS - Admitted
35 ACT
4.83 weighted gpa
top 5%
public health major
Not admitted to honors
16k Chancellors
Certified EMT, Eagle Scout, plays 4 instruments, tons of community service

Congrats! Admitted yesterday?

@philippians I assume you are asking me? Yes, admitted yesterday. A little disappointed about not being accepted into Honors, but not a deal-breaker.

It is hard to be patient, but I wanted to point out last year many nursing acceptances were sent out on Jan 16.

DD is waiting for nursing, and it is hard when classmates in other majors have acceptances. Although she would prefer Amherst, she was happy to get positive news from UMass Lowell nursing with a 1/2 tuition scholarship.
