Nothing yet. Just the email about releasing decisions this week.
Hi all, I am a prospective UMass applicant who has applied for early action. You all seem to be interested in when the decisions will be emailed. I just received an email about 5 hours ago saying that the early action admissions decisions will begin to be released starting today, and will be released up until the very beginning of January.
I’d also like to mention that the more competitive majors such as engineering, nursing, etc, will be released closer to if not January.

Yes. The UMass admissions staff. I met with the admissions staff after a tour of mine and asked for more info regarding what a strong application looks like. I also asked questions about decisions and asked when engineering for EA would come out. They said that the more competitive majors get released closer to January rather than right away.
OOS applicants were notified on the Monday the tenth last year. It appears that the day after, Tuesday was when instate begun receiving notifications.
Looking back at last year’s thread seems a
lot of in-state started hearing on the 17th of December. I did see a lot of competitive majors/programs hearing including computer science, engineering and Isenberg.
Should I be concerned that my daughter says she didn’t get this email that everyone’s talking about regarding decisions starting this week? Did all EA applicants get it? I’m worried because when she submitted early action, there was a screw up with sending her SAT scores, so they didn’t get her scores until Nov. 12, but we were assured by admissions that she would still be considered EA, but that they would review already completed applications first. She has the three green check marks.
If she has the check marks she should be fine. Could it be in junk mail? On my sons gmail sometimes college emails go in the promotions folder
I did a search, so I’m guessing it should have come up no matter what folder it was in. I did check junk, but not promotions.
@Bandmom69 My daughter did not receive that email either. She is in-state. I am a little concerned too, but she does have all the green check marks on the portal and applied without incident as far as I know!
Has anyone oos gotten a decision?
@travelfamily That makes me feel a little better. My daughter is also in-state. UMass Amherst is her top choice.
@Bandmom69 Good luck and keep us updated on when you hear and we will do the same! My D says right now she doesn’t have a favorite- just wants to see what her offers are!
