So I am guessing this means that not all decisions will be out by January 15th.
UMass Admissions on Instagram just said there will be additional waves of decisions throughout January⊠Iâm losing hope at this point everyone will hear back by Saturday.
Yes. I would be very suprised if they came out before Jan 25
My guess would be two more: Jan 18 and Jan 25.
Are the rejections also out? or only acceptances?
As far as I know, no rejections. They might defer first. It is s long way to go. They also dip into the waitlist quite a bit. 20% of the 2021 class were from the waitlist.
I checked Instagram again. They have posted a new colorful post
about yesterdayâs release and mentioned decisions will be released in 2022.
I think decisions may even sent out in February.
Good Luck to all!
Someone wrote on reddit that they deferred or waitlisted a lot of kids on the last Jan wave last year. And that a lot of them were 1500+ testing kids. That looks a lot of yield management to me.
My DD (in-state) was accepted for physics yesterday (YAY). She was almost out of the door so I didnât get a chance to read everything carefully but I didnât notice any information on scholarships etc on the page. Does it mean she didnât get any? It did say she was not accepted to honors college.
I thought they released decisions by January 15th like most schools do since their Reg decision deadline is Jan 15⊠But I guess not
Isenberg Applicants: Please note that the school over-enrolled last year and has decided to not allow internal transfers.
People seemed pretty upset last year â you will see it if you scroll down and scan the first several screen fulls: https://www.reddit.com/r/ApplyingToCollege/comments/itw94z/umass_amherst_early_megathread/?sort=new
Information on scholarships are released with admission decision, but I think if she gets need based scholarships by the university, it will most likely be included in the financial aid report within a month or two
I asked that question on Twitter and Instagram. No response. If they let us know by 15th we can avoid applying to some schools under RD.
If they take too long, they might also compete with ED II of schools that will announce their decisions before or on Feb 1. If UMass is your top choice, then you cancel ED II of some other school if Umass accepts you before the ED school does.
Merit would have been mentioned. Itâs rare for in state to get merit, and even then itâs low. Merit is mostly for out of state students. Any chance your student qualifies for the John and Abigail Adams award? Thatâs pretty much what my high stats son will have. It helps a little.
yeah, thatâs what I thought (merit for OOSâŠ)⊠She didnât take MCAS so unfortunately no
Chemistry major here - still waiting and OOS.
Is the last batch people they just havenât gotten to yet or is it waitlists/deferrals/rejections ?
