SAT is kinda low so it’s probably a reject, but I do know the review goes beyond scores so fingers crossed.

UMASS only admitts about 600 first year students to an honors colledge.
Its a very small number for the school of size of UMASS. They need to offer honors colledge to all majors and disciplines… I dont think its depends OOS or in state … but I think they are looking for more than high stats … Not sure what are exact criteria for honors colledge.

Not sure if this is helpful or not but OOS, admitted with merit (not CS), super high stats, National Merit, loads of EC’s, leadership, etc., BUT no honors college. There’s a FB page that said honors is all over the place. Good luck!

I called the admissions office. Very unhelpful. Said the decisions will be released till Jan end. Do folks know will the last batch be rejections and waitlists? Any majors other than CS, Isenberg and Nursing still waiting ? Bio major here.

Nursing…not feeling hopeful. My daughter put in a second choice of communication disorders just in case she does a 180 and doesn’t want nursing on May 1 
But communication disorders is another competitive major so we will see. Not sure if I would want her driving to clinicals on some of those roads in the winter anyway. But I do love the school
