Yep, here it is http://www.cnn.com/2014/04/22/justice/scotus-michigan-affirmative-action/
@qwertyem564 , @boebus , @lolonimous : Good Luck guys!
ugh aa really sucks for ORM
Not exactly AA, but umich does have a preference towards “underrepresented” groups on a university bases.
Wait so when will decisions be released?? Friday??
i was told by my dad (umich alum), he talked to my districts super, that some people may get deferred simply because the admissions people didn’t have enough time to get to the application. so that probably contributes to the fact that so many qualified people get deferred.
@afluffymuffin I’m COE. naval arch and marine engineering
@lolonimous the last round of EA will probably be released friday
Is that only for out of state ppl though? The increase of applications r coming from out of state ppl. They should have enough time to read all the in state apps because thay number has stayed steady
@lolonimous We will all get our decisions sometime between now and Saturday. (No one knows when exactly they will come out.)
I miss the good old days when Michigan did rolling and started releasing decisions in September before they switched to common app in 2010
Good Luck my friend!
@olliepopluv yeah ok man. Go away. @skieurope delete pls??
I’m leaving it. Whether it’s true or an urban legend, I heard the same thing when I applied 2 years ago. Some kids at my school were deferred only to receive acceptances a couple of weeks later, so IDK.
@skieurope I was referencing his “dad talking to superiors” or whatever but ok
Its a brand new user
super as in superintendent, who knows a dude who works for the admissions department. just to clear that up
@olliepopluv thanks for the info–ugh that’s really annoying that they do that though because someone with the great grades will think that they are inadequate just because someone didn’t want to read their application at the time
Alright guys meet back at the same time (3 o’clock) tomorrow? I don’t know about you guys but the waiting game is so much fun to play sarcasm
On another topic does anyone know if you can combine the credits from IB and AP at u of m if you take the tests in different subjects. Ex. IB biology but AP math
