@nannypoo These rumours of people being denied because of their stats have been around for years but the profile of accepted students show them to be false. Michigan has a holistic admissions process, so high stats alone don’t guarantee admission. It is generally what you have to offer IN ADDITION to high stats that makes the difference.
I hope not. It would suck if my 36 ACT was a detriment as I really want to go here!!!
Has anyone seen U of M send out notifications so late in the game? This seems cruel to have announcements come out so close to the holiday. I cannot imagine how students will respond to a denial on Christmas eve. They need to fix their process.

It just seems odd they are waiting so long. It took days for my daughter to get over the MI Ohio State game. This would be a lot tougher

Hey guys, I’m also applying EA. I know that they have until Christmas Eve, but I agree it’s a little nerve racking and disappointing to release the results this late. Hopefully they are taking their time to holistically review the apps.

“Soon” is a variable term, it can imply a few hours as well as a few days. @nasoth
