@SingingBusDriver how do you know
I have a couple of questions:
If I applied earlier (Mid-August), would that mean that they already reviewed my application? Are they evaluated based on submission date?
Also, I applied for the LSA Residential College. Does this affect my admission chances?
Thank you! GO BLUE!
What is the residential college @liventhedream
DMs major key
I slid into their Dms as well. got this phat response: All we can say right now is that they will be released soon. Thanks for your patience!
Soon aint 24th.
It’s a like a smaller arts-based living-learning community within the LSA. It gives you a smaller environment in some of your classes but still allows you to take normal LSA classes, so it’s the best of both worlds. I’ve been in contact with some students in the RC and they love it and say that you’ll get admitted into LSA and considered for the RC but I don’t know if it will affect admission chances. In my final essay about interest in UofM, I touched on the LSA and devled into the RC. @mimimo7890
@liventhedream oh ok thanks! That actually sounds really good. Do you have to apply separately to it and can you switch into it?
My S was in the RC and loved it. it doesn’t effect your chance of admissions. I think it was a good idea to talk about it in your supplement, it goes towards fit. My S2 and my D did the same thing in their supp essay.
Also, East quad is recently renovated and really nice (though some of the kids thought it lost character post-renovation).
If they miss the “character” I’m sure they could switch to Markley!! Lol.
5 more hours???
I’m just telling myself that they will be here Friday. If they arrive sooner then that’s good. But I can’t play the waiting game everyday lol. Hopefully they come soon.
I applied seperately, I think you can switch into it later on if you so please!
What do you guys interpret “soon” as? Hours or days?
separately! whoops
I’m pretty confident it won’t be today
I think there are something like 300 freshmen admitted to the RC each year. It functions as a small LAC within the broader u mich. As such, I believe there are some core requirements including intensive language courses. Some of your classes are taught right in the RC (kids used to attend classes in pajamas).
I suggest if interested, send an email right after you’re admitted.

I am just trying things out.
I literally don’t think they’ll release anything till the 23rd. They said the 24th, but they’ve had a history of releasing on Fridays, so I’m hoping the 23rd.
