They will definitely release no later than Friday its just that is super late we got the bad year the 23rd which is latest ppsdible day compared to last year when they released on 18
Historically it takes several days for all ea decisions to go out. If they don’t start releasing until 12/23, there is no way they will release all by 11/24.
Logic would dictate they would have to start rolling out decisions approximately 3 days prior to the 12/24 deadline.
In their wording “decisions will be released by Dec 24th”, if there is a time delay in emails going out does U of M really think its a good idea to send out rejections that may come Christmas Day? YIKES.
Guys, im like 95% sure the decisions are going to come out this friday, December 23rd. Do not listen to what other people are saying, because I am pretty sure friday is the day.
when i called yesterday an admissions staff told me it was highly unlikely they would be released yesterday, but probably in the next two days.
Not sure whether to laugh or cry at the latest UofM admission responses on twitter: “Decisions will be out soon! In the meantime, here is some info about our many leather bound books.” with a link to their library.
posted at 11:30 today. LOL. How twisted…
@littlelib2 I think they will release on friday
I really don’t think they can wait much longer…I think since they technically started yesterday with stamps some with probably also be coming out today…just a guess
@Moe1352 not enough time to do that.
I second that ^
Thr must be ppl from michigan near to the university in this forum… why cant u call up or go to the university and find out… had it been a university here in delhi we could hav done that… will univ ppl not allow ???
Jesus Christ they will come out when they come out! Whether its in 2 hours, 2 days, on the 24th, it doesn’t matter! They won’t all come out at the same time (pretty sure that would crash their system). Stop freaking out and stop arguing. If someone’s decision comes out tomorrow, it still has 0 effect on YOUR decision. You’ll get an email when they are actually released. So stop worrying, and enjoy your holidays.
@USUG21 No, they will not allow. Whether you call of stop by, you will be told the same thing. No reason to mob the place with calls or visits.
@everyoneonthisthread Honestly, think about it. If UMich had about 30,000 applications (number being tossed around), how will they release all of them in ONE DAY. Their systems will crash or be extremely slow. Many are saying, “Oh, they will be released Friday because decisions are almost always released on Friday.” Yes, they are typically released on Friday, but think about this: Last year, they began releasing them on the Friday BEFORE the deadline, so they had the whole next week to release more decisions. In this year’s case, they would literally ONLY have the 23rd and 24th to release them and that might not be enough time to release such a ridiculous amount of decisions.
We honestly don’t know what day or time they will be released unless we are sitting in the admissions office watching them click “release” or “send.” The most reasonable explanation is that they will begin to release them either today or tomorrow.
People have gone but a lot of people aren’t allowed to say anything more than or know more than “they will be here by the 24th”
here’s exactly why i think it’s the 23rd:
- they historically release on fridays
- they said before the 24th so that it looks like theyre compromising and coming out one day earlier than what they said it would be
but they cant release so many apps onf the same day
Yeah but would that give them enough time to release everything?
I mean, a lot of STAMPS and MTD decisions came out yesterday. I’m thinking they might be releasing decisions by school? There are 7 different undergraduate schools (not including the preferred admission ones), so it logically seems like they’ll come out with at least one more school today, since it wouldn’t make sense to release all 5 schools on Friday (especially since two of those are LSA and CoE, the largest ones). This is just speculation though, decisions will come when they come.
