This is my student’s only hope- he said he’d do his first semester in Seoul. He’s in a basketball practice now, so we won’t know until gets home. Still thinking it’ll be a denial.
are you in state for UT?
Yes - auto admit, top 1%. UT must fill 90% of the seats with Texans (and 75% of those with autoadmits). Makes it almost as hard to to get in oos as it is to get in oos at UNC.
Nice. congrats
Any special considerations? Ie honors etc?
Yep-- my son applied to UT also but expects a rejection from them too! I grew up in Houston but that doesn’t do him a lot of good!
OOS waitlisted to Business!
In State accepted! Plus honors carolina, assured admit into kenan flagler, and a 25k scholrship per YEAR which covers everything for me in state!!
Daughter, in-state accepted. Very excited!
My son was accepted in-state
Won the lottery😅
In state- accepted with honors college! 🩵
also got assured admit, how selective is it?
Rejected - OOS - 1530 SAT, 4.0 unweighted (not sure on conversion of weighted) 13 APs, tons of ECs. Luckily it wasn’t her top choice so we are moving on - her first rejection
i think its pretty selective, not that many ppl get it
Waitlisted OOS, 1520, valedictorian (1/300), 102.2 W 99.88 UW, all 5s… but just got into UMich an hour ago
Rejected OOS
My daughter too! On the whole, she’s pretty pleased.
What is assured admit? Is that for a specific department?
S25’s first rejection.
OOS, 35 ACT, 4.0 unweighted, 11 APs, Eagle Scout, four year varsity athlete on two sports and co-captain of both for two years.
We knew how unlikely it was, but it still stings.
D25 rejected OOS. Expected, but still hurt as it was her dream.
But accepted to UMich today, so still a good day!!
