My son was accepted into the College of Engineering the Monday before Thanksgiving. It took about 5 days after his status was changed to decisioned on the portal.

Just as an FYI 80% of kids who apply early action to UNCC are accepted. So everyone has a very good chance of getting in now. Hope this helps.

Nope, portal still says Received-Complete
Yes last Thursday. On the portal. The acceptance letter was dated 12/5 so we should be getting it in the mail today or tomorrow.
Oops wrong school! Those dates were for UNCW. Got UNCC letter back in October. Sorry about that!
We are IS. My daughter got her acceptance letter last week. SAT 1290, UW GPA 3.875, W GPA 4.218. 11 AP classes, mot of her other classes were Honors. National honor society, Latin/Science/Social Studies Honor Society. Varsity/Club volleyball. Lots of volunteer work and other activities. Anxiously waiting to hear from Chapel Hill.
My D20 portal just finally swapped to decisioned. She applied 10/17 in state but her school is very unusual so I could see it taking a moment.
Hopefully it’s good news. She really loved the spirit of the school when we toured.
@mrk21000 thanks, that made me check our Wilm portal, looks like DS’s letter is in the mail! I like Wilm for him but it is not high on his list…
Good! Let me know what his decision is! My son refuses to go to UNCW. Idk why he applied. We live about 40-45 minutes away so it’s not like going away to college, which I understand. NC State has always been his #1 so now we wait for a month and a half for that decision. 
my daughter still shows Received-Complete from UNCC, UNCW and App…she applied to UNCC on 9/10/19 and nothing yet. I have a feeling we will be waiting until January:(
@ljasnau Hang in there! The waiting is brutal. My D20 kept stressing over how many ppl heard back before her from UNCC (even those that applied later). I am not sure if there is a rhyme or reason to who is notified first. Keeping my fingers crossed for your daughter.
It is weird-my son applied the same day as your daughter did and heard back almost 2 months ago. I wish I had a reason as to why. I will tell you my older son applied to UNCC 2 years ago and didn’t get his acceptance until around Christmas, so not hearing back yet doesn’t mean anything.
@ljasnau I am assuming that which major you applied to makes a difference at UNCC, but that is just a guess.
@mrk21000 my son doesn’t want to go to State b/c “he can see it from his HS” but I think he will consider it if he gets in. I am afraid he will get in later from the waitlist - and then have to make a choice later, but I can’t worry about that.
I don’t know why my child didn’t like Wilm, I may make him visit again on an admitted student day.

Her major is nursing. The say I see it, no news is good news. She will receive a decision sooner or later. It’s just a waiting game now. I liked Wilmington, I wasn’t overly impressed with UNCC but she liked it, however, she did like Queens University of Charlotte better. The price is a big deal though Queens is quite expensive.
