UNC non assured business vs UW vs Wisconsin Madison

I got into
1)UNC non assured business(I apply to Kenan-Flagler after first year)
2) Foster business school direct admit
3)Wisconsin business school direct admit

Fees wise all are same
I’m an out of state student for all
Needed help choosing.
Thank you

Why did you apply to each college you are considering?

Hope it’s OK that I fixed the typo in your thread title.

They are both great choices. There’s a benefit to an auto admit as you certainly know. Do you have a preference for warm or cold weather?

If that is your real name, please consider changing it to something more anonymous. How Do I Change My Username?

I’m a fan of having a direct admit so personally I’d choose one of those options.

Foster or Wisconsin direct admit, absolutely, especially from OOS.

If both are the same cost and don’t involve parental loans, it’s purely what you prefer

  • required courses for your chosen specialty within business (ALL business schools will require Micro&Macro Econ, Stats and Calc1, Intro to accounting, and Intro to Management but beside that look into details) and any minimum Gpa or grades to access said chosen specialty alongside with Plan B availability
  • not super important but can impact personal comfort: do you prefer snow&super cold but sunny, or mild temperatures with nonstop rain&cloudy skies?
  • city or college town/Capital?
  • did you get into the Honors college? A special Business program? Is there an LLC or FIG you find interesting? These allow you to have more connections with classmates or professors + build a network, always a plus at a large university.

If you want to study business, you have two choices. The third creates an unnecessary level of stress.

If you don’t care about studying business or you’re ok with a minor, then you have three choices.

For business - Do you want to be in the cold, by a lake?

Or in the rain, a few miles from a huge city (downtown) and a port. You can’t beat the nature of the Pacific NW.

At UNC, there are alternative paths like Management/Society and Stats/CS which can still lead to consulting jobs. Ask yourself if you are ok with these paths and if so, go for Kenan-Flagler.
