If your letter says you are in the college of arts sciences, you will have to apply to the MEJO school separately at a later time. @seniorcare
Anybody else waiting on decisions (today) hopefully?
@seniorcare I asked about that, and they said applications open on July 1 and to just apply then. They said there are a lot of spots in MEJO classes reserved for current majors/minors, but that those spots will open up for anyone around 4/17-18. Idk what class level you’ll be entering as, but I’m a sophomore, and they said it’s nbd if I don’t get any MEJO classes this semester.
@HSstudentNC every time I log into my heel mail it requires me to enter a text sent to my phone… is there anyway to change this or is that just how it is? also why is my email listed as @live.unc.edu but when I go to log in it says _.ed.unc.edu ? sorry if these are dumb questions, I’m just very confused currently
It makes you enter a code because 2-step verification is required for your UNC email. You can change how this works if you google unc ONYEN services and you can have it to where instead of a text, you use an app that you can authorize log ins. In addition, I’d recommend installing the Outlook app for email on iPhone android windows or even Mac so you do not need to log in each time. It’s odd that’s for some log ins, you email is ONYEN@ad.unc.edu instead of ONYEN@live.unc.edu. I think it has something to do with Microsoft integration but I’m not sure on that. When people send you an email it will be addressed to ONYEN@live.unc.edu but logging in using certain Microsoft services @lilchen98
@seniorcare @yeeeeeeeeeet my letter said School of Media and Journalism. I applied as a junior so I was accepted directly into the school. Maybe if you’re a sophomore you have to do more?
Okay on setting up the e-mail part it says “Click on “Email Sign-Up” on the left hand menu to set up your UNC email account, create an easy-to-remember alias, and change your password.” It already created me an alias but where do I find/create the password?
Are we allowed to register for classes yet? The link with more instructions is broken and “view enrollment dates” doesn’t show anything
Still waiting for decision. mad annoying
@90smix they created an alias/email for me as well and my password was just the same as my connectcarolina password! try logging in with that and see if it works
@bree24601 it’s doing the same thing to me
@lilchen98 you are a lifesaver thank you!
Do they not require syllabi for the transfer credit evaluation? I got an email saying it would be complete in a few weeks but I haven’t sent or been asked for any syllabi.
I just got an email saying that I am registering tomorrow morning and I barely, understand how what I am supposed to register for since I don’t how my GenEd transfers.
Everyone who is in the same boat with me, good luck
@julypie Yes! I go to UNCW so a lot of the credits transfer, but since the evals are not done yet can we still register for upper level classes? I Want to take Econ 400, but I’m not sure if it will let me. Plus, all those gen eds are hard to keep up with. Oh well, hopefully we can just make alterations after the reports come in.
Unfortunately, you can’t register for courses with prerequisites until you have a transfer credit report stating you have credit for the necessary pre req.
@HSstudentNC Almost all of my classes, require pre-reqs ?But thank you for letting us know! Do you think that it would be possible to register EDUC 301, if I was accepted as Junior?
No problem! You can register for EDUC 301 even if you’re not a junior transfer. @julypie
@90smix Hey! I saw that your post on UMich thread as well! I feel like we kind of applied to the same schools! Where are you thinking about going? If you would like to talk privately, message me!!
I’m waiting for two things:
Credit report
Admissions to bump me to summer
