It doesn’t make sense to not allow us to register without our credit report. The checklist recommended to register before you get it, but if you can’t enroll w/o your prerequisites showing up then you can’t register. Especially if you’re a junior. Every class I need has prerequisites. ?
I’m new to this thread, but I’ve been following along for awhile! Junior, 23, transferring this fall from North Georgia, physics major 3.87, already accepted my decision. I’ve been having a lot of the same issues, but finally set up all my accounts! I have a few new problems though. For starters, myCarolina won’t work anymore. It now says I don’t even have an account. Also, am I supposed to be enrolling today? Connect Carolina says I am, however I have a hold for “Advisor Approval Required”, but under program advisor, it says “None Assigned”. And was anyone else asked for 2 letters of non-filing for the same year? I screwed up and forgot that I actually DID file 2017, but I only made less than 3k, so I’m waiting on that info I submitted to process as well.
Well, I registered for classes. It was pretty slim pickings out there, what with getting here so late and all, and I ended up with mostly 200 level classes, irritatingly. Still, They’re all requirements for something except one, and that fills an elective for my major, so I suppose it’s all fine in the end, even if it makes for an unimpressive looking first semester transcript…Since I’m aiming for grad school I’m not entirely pleased about that, I’ll just have to go harder in future.
Now I just need to deal with financial aid, because my situation is ~complicated~ and proving to be a huge pain in the butt even though I should (eventually, fingers crossed) qualify for something decent.
I managed to register for 3 classes and waitlisted for 1. I really need calculus, but I don’t have prerequisites showing up sooo
Definitely slim pickings. They’re almost all in the late afternoon
Has anyone been able to do the housing?
@wkdalswjd I’ll message you
Hi guys, this is a dumb question, but what classes should I take as a junior transfer student to the political science department? I register for EDUC 301, but I don’t know what else to sign up for.
I got an email for transfer credit evaluation, but I don’t know how to see it on Connect Carolina.
I wish I live near the school, but I live in the Bay Area, and I wish someone near me is also transferring to UNC
If you go to Connect Carolina, then on the left side you should see something that says “My academics”. Click on it and underneath a few items, you should be able to see “view transfer credit report”. @Riotseason
@Riotseason I would search for “Political Science Major UNC”, click the requirements tab, and start hitting those required classes.
@HSstudentNC, @Bongle Cool! Thanks, both!
hey guys! so im a junior transfer and I accepted my offer of admission yesterday morning at about 9am and it still says that I don’t have access to register for classes? how long did you guys have to wait and do you think waiving my fee had anything to do with it?
@bree24601 Weirdly enough, I’m a junior transfer student too. I figured they would place me in my second choice if I didn’t get into media/journalism, but nope just general college of arts and sciences. If I can get someone on the phone hopefully I can find out why.
Hey guys, I’m a junior transfer. I just finished registering for my classes. Does anyone know what the housing situation is going to be like?
For on campus or off campus housing? I can give advice and insight for on campus as I lived on campus this past school year. @InCatsCradle
This is a reiteration to what @yeeeeeeeeeet said, but the reason I didn’t automatically get accepted into MEJO is that I won’t have 60 credits by the end of this semester although I will have 60+ credits by the end of this summer semester. They also mentioned that students applying with sophomore status have to submit that additional application that opens July 1st. My situations a bit scarier because I will still be attending this fall as a junior, but they said that super large classes like MEJO 153 and MEJO 121 should have open spots and to try and snag some of those. She also said you need to mention to advisors that you must be entered into the “MEJO subplan” so they can enroll you in classes accordingly.
There are apparently some essay prompts in the program application for MEJO that they have yet to release so hopefully we’ll get to view those soon.
how long did you guys have to wait to register for classes after accepting your offer of admission??? and we register using the connectcarolina correct?
@ lee.sophia32@gmail.com I accepted their offer on Monday and registered for classes today.
Connect Carolina took a day to verify my FAFSA, and another day to get my transfer credit evaluation email.
Has anyone who hasn’t accepted their offer of admission gotten their transfer credit report yet?
