@HSstudentNC I was thinking off-campus housing. I know one of my friends is looking into getting a house, but I don’t know how expensive rent usually is in Chapel HIll

@JordanBelfort1 YAY!!! I felt like you would be accepted, bc why bother delaying and asking for additional info if they were going to reject you. I hate you had to wait so long.
I still haven’t gotten my transfer credit evaluation.
I’ve gotten an email saying it will come “before May 1st”, but for now I’m still waiting. I hope it’s soon bc I want to enroll in a calculus class and they need my prerequisites.
@bree24601 thank you!! Yeah I wasn’t sure why the delay haha, def made it frustrating. Need my transfer credit report too!
@Riotseason so do you have your financial aid award yet?
haven’t got mine either ^^
@bree24601 just got mine!
but no transfer credit evaluation yet
@90smix me neither. Have you registered for classes?
I remember (maybe in here) someone mentioned if you transferred with your AA then you gen ed requirements minus fit and foreign language was waived. Is that documented officially anywhere?
There is an articulation agreement between NC Community colleges and the 4 year universities under the University of North Carolina system. If you google CAA UNC, there should be further documentation. @Mcunn226
Awesome. That would remove stuff like WB, EE, BN requirements?
Correct. You would come in with a block of 60 credits and the only Gen Ed’s you would need are LFIT and Foreign Lang up to level 3 if you haven’t fulfilled those. @Mcunn226
Whew. Do you know if the limit is 60? Looks like I’m getting 16 credits from my 4 year and 44 from my 2 year but I still have 9 to report for this semester.
Also: do you remember how long you waited until you got the admissions packet in the mail?
64 is the limit they will transfer from 2 year community colleges. And 75 is the limit from 4 year universities.
I got my package about 10 days after my acceptance.
And you cannot have more than 75 transferable credits combined at any institution go towards your degree because you are required to earn a minimum of 45 credits at UNC.
So it’s entirely possible I could have 16+53 transfer credits with my AA. If that holds I’m going to be ecstatic.
Okay so I may be going out on a limb here…
So pretty much I cannot make any progress on my decision until I see the financials. Therefore I’d like to get my financial aid info ASAP. I remember reading in here earlier, and the evidence proves it, that you get your award earlier if you accept your offer of admission.
With that said, could I accept my offer of admission waive the deposit because of financial aid in order to just see my financial aid award? And if it isn’t right, can I withdraw from enrollment?
Like I said, out on a limb.
