Uncomfortable at Work

Just because you have the permit does not mean you actually would carry a gun around

In post 117, Naturally demonstrates a very different interpretation of the “crazy women” comment than I do.
Reading that post, Naturally seems to think some may have called women crazy because unless harrassment is as blatant as boob grabbing then it doesn’t exist, therefore a woman is crazy to believe/say such a thing exists.
I interpreted the “women crazy” very differently. Given the location of that post, and the context of posts before it, I think the “women are crazy” idea refers to something different. Not that being uncomfortable doesn’t exist.
I think it refers to the connection that if one is offended by men discussing the fashion choices of a female reporter in a men’s locker room then that a remedy for that person might be to seriously consider carrying a gun. I think that poster felt a gun was unwarranted in such a situation, not that such situations don’t exist.

That’s fair. If it’s talking about packing in response to silly comments about locker room antics, then yes, it’s fair to call that crazy.

“Crazy” is kind of the “Chicken” to my McFly, so to speak.

“I have been required to take several classes in many companies. If the managers of the company don’t address the complaints then you can sue. The complaints may be valid or invalid but they have to take action, at least to provide guidelines to avoid any possible misunderstanding.”

This is not correct, except insofar as anyone can sue anyone else at any time. This set of facts, without more, would not lead to judgment in favor of the plaintiff.

Suppose Employee A thinks that Employee B reading Romeo & Juliet at her desk during lunch is offensive. Employee A complains to management that Employee B is harassing her by reading books in the office that promote immorality. Management tells Employee A to get back to work. Employee A sues on the theory that management didn’t do anything in response to her (idiotic) complaint. Employee A’s action is going to be dismissed in short order. Management has no legal obligation to take action over every silly complaint.

It sounds like you have a comfortable mount on that horse.
