UNCSA

We too auditioned this weekend at UNCSA. This is my third child auditioning for college (D for MT in 2009; S for BFA acting in 2013; and now another S for BFA acting) and UNCSA never came up for the other two. It came up this time and went straight to the top of my son’s list along with another school that was not on our radar before either. After this weekend’s audition, UNCSA remains a top choice and has moved to the #1 spot for sure (he has already auditioned and been accepted at one of his other 2 tops but this one surpassed it.) My D had a school at her top for many reasons that went to the bottom at auditions and my middle S always knew where he wanted to go but I encouraged him to go through the entire process after he had already been accepted at his top choice. He wound up going to his top choice and it was a perfect fit. He will be graduating in May and moving to LA. The point being is that somehow they know what their fit when they find it, they just know it. We just need to listen even if they can’t articulate it. Another interesting thing I found out this morning is the UNCSA is part of a 5 school consortium on drama education and one of the other 5 schools in the consortium is also a top pick of my son’s that I had not heard of during our two previous rounds. Hang in there, this really is a special time and they will ALL wind up where they are supposed to be.
