Florida has a decent business school, especially if he wants to study Accounting. Sports is HUGE over there, especially football.
UCSB is beautiful, but I don’t think the school is nearly as good as its US News ranking would suggest. It has a reputation for being a HUGE party school. It’s also extremely expensive to live anywhere near there, and getting out and doing things will break the bank. Santa Barbara is beautiful, but doesn’t have much to do for anyone who is the least bit budget minded.
Wisconsin is a great university, and decent sports program similar to Florida. Madison is a great town too. It’s true that it’s cold, but I think you get used to that if you dress the part.
Tulane is another good school, but not sure about the business program. New Orleans is a huge party town, but from what I’ve heard, Bourbon Street gets old FAST, and parts of the city are quite dangerous. They do have some sports programs, but they aren’t a huge part of college life the way they would be at Wisconsin or Florida.
